WATER COLORS

ater Colors were introduced in the last 20 years to Africa by the post-colonial europeans. It has a tremendous influence over the other existing forms of art in that, it is different in its definition. Africa is a contrasting continent and the art of Africa exemplifies this.

Water colors are not contrasting or do not have the characteristics of contrast common to Africa. However, this is to the advantage of the medium. Showing Africa in this subtle form, water colors create an Africa that is new and fresh, without having left it's spirit.

The use of colors and strokes envoke what we see in Africa. Nature and peoples come to life and captures conversation or the sweet murmur of the Flamingoes. Truly unique and truly beautiful.
